The Stadium Centre Lofts mixed-use building is conveniently located near the Minnesota State University campus, in Mankato, MN. The design creates visual interest and an overall cohesive design by varying textures and incorporating local materials.  It provides housing with sixteen 2-3 bedroom apartments and retail with four tenant spaces on the main level.  The vertical expansion was a unique challenge, as it was originally only one story; the new addition uses steel columns as movement resistant frames for stabilizing the structure above.  This maximized the utilization of the existing site and increased the functionality with additional housing, therefore increasing revenue.
