redby, mnThe Red Lake Alternative Care/Wellness Center provides the Red Lake Nation with its first state-of-the-art, versatile event space. The large gathering area can host a variety of events. To further enhance opportunities in this facility, there are three 96-inch LED displays with conferencing capabilities, cameras to stream events to other venues, and speakers throughout. Operable partitions are installed, which can divide the large space into three smaller meeting rooms. This facility is designed to double as a pandemic emergency response space that holds up to 50 beds, with seamless finishes incorporated for cleanability and sanitation. The HVAC system was also designed to allow for additional air changes during pandemic use. The wellness center is an addition to the Oshkiimaajitahdah building, altogether making the whole building approximately 42,000 s.f.
Versatile Event Space:
The Red Lake Alternative Care/Wellness Center’s versatile event space partitioned sections can be closed off for quarantine purposes since each space has independent entrances and access to the corridor. The proximity of the kitchen to the drive-through lane allows for easy distribution of meals and other goods to community members. The Combined Floor Plan depicts one large gathering with all attention focused on the front of Event Space B. The Partitioned Floor Plan outlines locations of screens/projectors, the closed partitions, and event seating.
