CLARKS GROVE FIRE STATION | CLARKS GROVE,mn
Due to a storm in March of 2017 the Clarks Grove Fire Station experienced significant structural damage to their fire station. The city elected to employee Brunton Architects & Engineers to develop a damage assessment and after acquiring official bids for the repair and reconstruction it became apparent that a new facility would be more economical in order to meet their current and future needs. With the combination of insurance, state disaster aid and city financing Brunton was able to assist the city in building a new 7,200 s.f. precast concrete facility constructed to current standards. The new fire station includes offices, a large community room with an adjacent kitchen, restrooms, an apparatus bay, SCBA room, a mechanical/storage mezzanine, as well as a restroom with exterior access for the adjacent city park. The city is very happy with the new station and, although this was caused by an unfortunate event, the new facility allows the department to function more safely, efficiently, and better serve the community.
