Brunton Architects & Engineers designed this 6,500 s.f. “north-woods style” dental clinic for the Lor-Ray Drive Dental Group in North Mankato, MN. The dental group outgrew their existing facility and asked that the new building design reflect their individual tastes and appreciation of the outdoors. The building is equipped with 14 treatment rooms, sterilization area, lab, private offices, and the most state-of-the-art dental equipment. The building’s larger Dutch hip dormers help admit an abundance of natural light throughout the building’s interior spaces. Kasota Stone and heavy timber members were used to accentuate the prominent entrance. Long overhangs and shading trellises were designed to help shield the large windows from direct solar glare while maintaining natural lighting.
